Awestruck Tech ("we", "us", "our") developed the Awestruck Podcast Player app ("the App") as a free, ad-supported podcast discovery and playback app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
The App does not require you to create an account. If you choose to follow shows, set playback preferences, or import/export an OPML file, that data is stored locally on your device unless you enable a backup feature offered by your device's operating system.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app information — device model, operating system version, app version, language, and crash/diagnostic logs, used to keep the App stable.
- Advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID) — used by our ad partner to serve and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same ad.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address, used only for regional ad relevance, not for precise tracking.
- Search and playback activity — podcasts you search for, follow, or play, used to power core features such as your subscriptions and resume position.
2. Podcast Search Providers
To find shows, the App queries third-party podcast directories (such as iTunes/Apple Podcasts and PodcastIndex.org) and fetches episode audio and artwork directly from the RSS feeds and hosting servers published by each podcast's creator. Your search terms and requests are sent to these providers to return results; we do not control their data practices.
3. Advertising
The App displays ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use the advertising identifier and other technical data to show relevant ads and measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalized advertising or reset your advertising ID from your device's Settings → Google → Ads menu. For more information, see Google's Advertising Policy.

5. How We Use Information
- To operate core features (search, playback, downloads, subscriptions, Wear OS sync).
- To diagnose crashes and improve app stability and performance.
- To serve and measure advertising that supports the free version of the App.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Storage & Security
Your subscriptions, downloads, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data processed by the App, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
